Meat Preservation & Dehydration Workshop

CCESC Master Food Preserver volunteers will teach hands-on lessons on safely using a pressure canner, identifying and cooking low acid foods, and knowing when pressure canning is preferred. Volunteers will present a dehydration demonstration covering the advantages and disadvantages of dehydration, one of the oldest forms of food preservation. Discussion will include food safety, equipment, and methods suitable for New York State. Topics covered will include food safety, equipment, and methods suitable for New York State. Enjoy prepared, dehydrated food samples.
