WoodsTalk: Live presents Poetry & Power with SEAN THOMAS DOUGERTY. Sean Thomas Dougherty– a high school drop-out raised by an African-American father and a mother of Moldovan-Jewish descent who spent his life in blue collar neighborhoods soaking up the working class sounds and sights. That beauty influences much of his later work and earned him two PA Council for the Arts Fellowships, a Fulbright Lectureship, and nine nominations for the Pushcart Prize. Known for his electrifying performances, he has performed at hundreds of venues across North America and Europe, including the Lollapalooza Music Festival, and across Albania and Macedonia.
