Suite Italienne

The Musical Soul is incarnated in a program of improvisation; the ecstatic vision of Scriabin; and Stravinsky’s transformations of baroque music, the Suite italienne, surrounded by the music on which it was based, the gem-like trio sonatas of Domenico Gallo. As Stravinsky remarked to those who were offended by his settings, “you respect, but I love.”
