Invasive Plants: from the garden to the wild!

April 18, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

  • « Cab’raoke Wednesdays are here again!
  • Rail Trail Walk & Herbal Cocktails and Film Screening – Jane »

Who doesn’t love a beautiful garden full of exotic and low-maintenance plants? Unfortunately, some of our garden (and non-garden) plants have escaped and adapted to life in the wild. These invasive species are a serious issue affecting not only the ecology of our nature areas, but human health and local economies too.

Learn about some of the species that keep land managers awake at night and ways that you can help stop the spread of invasives in our area.

Presented by Eric Stone, Invasives Program Educator for the NY-NJ Trail Conference. This is an indoor presentation. No registration required. $5 suggested donation.
