Great Spring Hikes Off the Beaten Track – Book Talk

March 11, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

  • « Ruby Rae
  • Folie à deux »

Looking to hit the trails this spring? Discover the hidden gems of Sterling Forest, Harriman and the Borderlands.

Trail Conference Membership & Development Director Don Weise will be speaking about how to find and plan great spring hikes in the area. He will also discuss safety tips for hikers.

Plan your “playlist” of spring hikes, with these truly extraordinary, less-discovered day trips. Don, author of Circuit Hikes in Harriman and West Milford Baker’s Dozen will share his favorite “off-the-beaten-track” trails, viewpoints and destinations. Brush up on spring hike planning and safety tops and hear about the expanded 2nd edition of Circuit Hikes In Harriman, Don’s definitive guide to local loop hikes and trail runs.

Both new and experienced hikers will benefit from Don’s 20+ years of experience as a hike leader, environmental advocate, and New York-New Jersey Trail Conference member.

This event is free. Copies will be available for purchase and signing, and all proceeds will be donated to the Trail Conference. In addition, Trail Conference published maps of nearby New York trails will be available to purchase, as well. Cash and checks are accepted.
