Pianists Andrew Ranaudo and Nicole Brancato (together\, known as 2Squared) will perform in Krause Recital Hall at 2 pm on Saturday\, February 24 as part of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance Salon Series. \nAndrew and Nicole will play pieces by Franz Schubert\, Felix Mendelssohn\, Alfredo Casella\, and Erik Satie\, with collaborations by Patte Loper and Sarah Nicole Phillips. The Satie piece accompanies the 1924 dadaist short film “Entr’acte” by René Clair\, which features cameos by Francis Picabia\, Erik Satie\, Man Ray\, and Marcel Duchamp. \nRanaudo\, a Cochecton native\, recalls that his first piano recital was at the Tusten Theatre. Now an award-winning performer\, composer\, and teacher\, he has played venues including The Neue Galerie\, Scandinavia House\, The French Woods Festival for the Performing Arts\, Webster Hall\, Glasslands Gallery\, Dixon Place\, and Garfield Artworks.  \nBrancato\, an acclaimed musician\, has appeared at such venues as Lincoln Center\, the Guggenheim\, and the 92Y. She is a champion of creative and conceptual performance and has been featured in The New York Times\, New York Magazine\, The New Yorker\, and Time Out New York. \nDVAA is located at 37 Main Street\, Narrowsburg\, NY. DESCRIPTION:Bob Whipple was a pillar of the skiing community at Holiday Mountain and was a true ambassador of the sport. Bob’s generosity is the stuff of local legend and his passion to help people enjoy the sport he loved is unmatched.\nToday\, the Holiday Mountain Ski Club (HMSC) carries on that tradition of passing along the love of skiing to as many local kids each year as possible. This yearly fundraiser helps HMSC to keep the membership for athletes as low as possible and allows the Club to continually update needed safety equipment\, as well as support our Travel Athletes in the highest levels of competition in New York State.\nThis year we will continue with a Dual SL Match Race format. Each racer will make a timed race run on each of two courses\, with combined time of both runs being the racers total time. After all racers have completed their timed runs they may make unlimited runs on the courses for the remainder of the afternoon.\nSchedule:\n12pm – 1pm Registration (Bib Pickup) in Chalet\n1pm – 2pm   Obstacle Course & Tug of War for Development Program – Manny’s Run\n2pm – 4pm Dual SL Match Race (Open to all age levels) (Unlimited Runs)\n4:30 pm Awards\n5pm.   Dinner with Music on the Deck and Bonfire\n6:30 (approx.) Tricky tray raffle calling after dinner\nRegistration:\nWill be day of the event in the Chalet Lobby. DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we will learn the core movements of the exciting and ancient art of belly dance! Students will be taught how to undulate like a snake\, isolate the hips\, and of course the signature belly dance move: the shimmy! We will start with a standing warm up that will prepare the body for isolation and layering. During this class\, we will focus on executing movements with precision and strength with a focus on a healthy posture. This workshop is an introduction to belly dance\, so no prior dance experience is necessary.

DESCRIPTION:**DVAA’s 2018 Winter Salon Series is free for audiences thanks to the generous support of Larry and Shain Fishman.** \nAuthor\, photographer\, River Reporter columnist and self-proclaimed “Bon Vivant” Jonathan Charles Fox performs his new one-man show\, “Dirty Laundry: It All Comes Out in the Wash.” \nOn February 17 and 18 at 2 pm\, Fox will regale audiences with true stories culled from the dark recesses of his bedroom closet—from adventures in Las Vegas to alien abductions\, all with Dharma the Wonder Dog at his side.   \n“You will not be bored\,” Fox promised of his triumphant return to the mic as part of DVAA’s winter Salon Series. “I’ve been inundated with requests for more stories ever since my last one-man show. Now that I think about it\, I think they just wanted to meet the dog.” \nDVAA is located at 37 Main Street\, Narrowsburg\, NY\, and the event will take place on the second floor in the intimate Krause Recital Hall. Admission is free\, and donations are appreciated. Seating is limited and available on a first-come\, first-serve basis.  \n“I won’t be talking at the audience—I’ll be talking with the audience\,” Fox said. “Think of it as a conversation where I do most of the talking… and everyone gets to help me fold my laundry.” \nSpeaking of laundry\, audience members are invited to a post-show gathering at The Laundrette restaurant (20 5th Street\, Narrowsburg). \nThe rest of the free Salon Series includes a piano performance by Andrew Ranaudo and Nicole Brancato on February 24\, an artists’ talk on March 10\, and a screening of the film BOMBSHELL: The Hedy Lamarr Story on March 24.
