Our inaugural effort is 2016 was but a preview of things to come. We can’t thank the judges\, entrants\, volunteers and guests enough for making our dream of combining a concours\, track event and charity auction into one spectacular weekend come true. \nArt in Motion 2017 will be three full days of automotive excitement. Friday\, October 6th\, the second annual AIM kicks off with a luncheon in the spectacular new Monticello Motor Club Museum featuring Danny Sullivan\, Wayne Carini\, and Brian Redman. Bring your driving gloves and join our Road Rally at 2:00 pm. Road Rally participants and other guests will be in awe Friday evening as we introduce them to the beauty\, history and architecture that is Bethel Woods. The evening concludes with a 60’s themed cocktail party\, entertainment and charity dinner. \nOn Saturday\, October 7th\, we’ll introduce AIM attendees to our newest class\, off road rally cars. Hugely popular in Europe\, off road rallying is gaining momentum in the US. Some of the most competitive cars in the world will be on display all weekend. And take to the dirt yourself while supporting our charities; sample the MMC Off Road Experience. Gooding & Company returns to Monticello with a preview of their scaled-up charity auction for 2017. Art in Motion is synonymous with fine food and the ambiance of engines and exhaust notes. Enjoy lunch on Saturday from any one of our new track observation locations as race cars navigate the south track. Saturday’s racing banter will be led by the always entertaining Danny Sullivan and his special guests discussing the history of Formula One. The full course at Monticello Motor Club will be needed to appreciate the speed of the cars in our featured Saturday race class\, Formula One. The off-road rally cars will continue their demonstration throughout the afternoon and your need for speed can be fulfilled with by registering for Hot Laps for Charity or challenging friends on the karting track. Race cars will be on display all day and don’t miss the Queally Pro Am. The day concludes with the Gooding & Company auction and fine dining as our celebrity guests present awards. \nSunday’s feature is our sports car concours. Chief Judge Russell Glace and his team of world renown experts have their work cut out for them as our show field is more exclusive than ever for 2017. Our featured marque will be announced soon and we’ll have special exhibits of cars by Bugatti and Miller. The track action continues Sunday with concours cars\, modern super cars\, Hot Laps for Charity and more off road adventures and demonstrations. Listen to Brian Redman and Danny Sullivan reminisce with former Indy and Formula One race winners as you visit our dining stations. Concours and race awards begin at 3:00 and are followed by two races: the Monticello Motor Club Celebrity Race demonstration and the Queally Cup Miata race. Wind down with the event insiders as we close out 2017 in the clubhouse.

SUMMARY:Rick Rourke and Lost Wages
DESCRIPTION:Come watch Downtown BARN veterans Rick Rourke and Lost Wages play their Roots\, Blues and Acoustic Soul as they return to DTB for the seond time this season! \nIf you missed the first show\, make sure you get to this one! 5j Barrow\, who you may have seen at Roscoe Singer Songwriter Festival\, will be opening starting at 8pm! \nBorn in Troy NY\, Rick grew up in a large family close to where the Hudson River meets the Mohawk in upstate New York. ge After hearing the Animals and Bob Dylan he taught himself guitar and harmonica. Seeking out the roots of these artists Rick developed a love for Blues\, Folk and Jazz that inspires his work today. \nFor two decades prior to the Lost Wages project Rick was saxophonist and vocalist for The Out of Control Rhythm & Blues Band. As the main songwriter for the group\, Rick worked with legendary producer Eddie Kramer whose credits include Hendrix\, Zeppelin and Buddy Guy to name just a few. The resulting cd enjoyed airplay in diverse markets like Greece\, Australia\, Canada and blues and college stations in the U.S. This project inspired a volume of songs more personal\, more political and with a deeper social connection to what’s going on. The need to get these types of songs heard was the genesis for the Lost Wages cd and the formation of the Lost Wages band. “The group has opened up the musical spectrum for me and allowed me to flavor the songs as needed.” \nThe cd or live band performances will take the listener down different paths with sax\, violin\, harmonica and a chunky rhythm section to lead the way. As the world has become more complex\, corporate and regimented with radio airplay confined to the same 200 classic songs\, Rick finds himself digging even deeper for well crafted\, honest and fresh inspiration for the Lost Wages project.
