SUMMARY:WoodsTalk:Live presents: "Survival Tools in the Age of Fake News"
DESCRIPTION:A 2-hour interactive roundtable focusing on the very stubborn and perplexing issue of factual reporting\, the role of satire\, and how to be an informed citizen. The event envisions a nationally well-known key note speaker and expert panelists\, accompanied by a college student who developed a FB news verifying app\, a member of our local press\, and a representative from our 42 member regional library system. The event also envisions several Do Now in-seat activities\, opportunities for discussion as well as concluding remarks. The goal is to work with local libraries\, press\, community colleges\, and high schools to fill the Event Gallery; each participant will leave with at least one tool to use to navigate media facts and fictions. \nSale Dates and Times: \nPublic Onsale : Fri\, 5 May 2017 at 03:40 PM
