SUMMARY:Trout Parade
DESCRIPTION:Created to bring together the Livingston Manor region and the Catskills at large\, the Trout Parade is an annual street fair celebrating our community\, taking place on the second Saturday in June each year. Local and (not so local) community groups\, bands\, jugglers\, clowns\, dancers\, and other performers create floats\, wear wacky costumes\, play music\, carry giant puppets\, and “make a splash” on Main Street. \nThe Trout Parade is produced by the Catskill Art Society (CAS) in partnership with the Livingston Manor Chamber of Commerce. A community-based project\, the Trout Parade is not only Sullivan County’s foremost art parade\, but the proceeds it generates from individual donations and the sale of parade merchandise will help to support community organizations. Started in 2004 as a local grassroots festival\, CAS has produced the Trout Parade since 2010.
