SUMMARY:Trail Maintenance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder how the trails stay open and passable? Where do those colored marks on the trees come from? Take this workshop to find out! \nTrail Maintenance is clearing\, cleaning\, and blazing. Trail maintainers use small hand tools to clip and cut brush out of the trail\, remove debris from drainage structures\, and paint or hang the markers used for route finding also known as blazes. \nThis course helps you gain or brush up on the skills necessary to a Trail Conference Trail Maintainer Volunteer. Skills include how to clip trail corridor\, clean drainage structures\, proper blazing techniques\, and reporting trail conditions. \nThere will be a field component of this course\, so be sure you wear your sturdy hiking boots and work gloves if you have them!

SUMMARY:Standards & Classics & Starsky (No Hutch)
DESCRIPTION:DVAA presents “Standards & Classics & Starsky (No Hutch)”\nWith David Driver\, Dana Lyn and Matt Kanelos\nSaturday\, May 12 @ 8 pm\nTusten Theatre: 210 Bridge Street\, Narrowsburg\, NY\n$20 advance\, $25 at the door \nDelaware Valley Arts Alliance presents the world premiere of “Standards & Classics & Starsky (No Hutch)” starring singer and songwriter David Driver on Saturday\, May 12 at 8 pm at the Tusten Theatre\, 210 Bridge Street\, Narrowsburg\, NY. \nThe freewheeling multimedia performance riffs on Driver’s childhood obsession with the character of Detective David Starsky from the 1970s TV show “Starsky & Hutch.” \nThrough video projection\, new music and American standards (from Rodgers and Hart to Duran Duran)\, Driver will explore his fascination with Starsky\, and the actor who portrayed him\, during a period when he was questioning his own survival as a young gay man. \nAccompanying Driver are acclaimed multi-instrumentalists and composers Dana Lyn (Lincoln Center\, Brooklyn Academy of Music\, Carnegie Hall) and Matt Kanelos (“The Smooth Maria\,” “We the Gleaners”). \nThe show features new material written with Heidi Rodewald\, co-writer of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Passing Strange” as well as the new music theatre piece ‘The Good Swimmer\,” which will feature Driver when it premieres at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s 2018 NEXT WAVE Festival.
