SUMMARY:U.S Festival : The Illusory Play of the Mind
DESCRIPTION:In this Festival\, Gen-la Khyenrab will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Arya Green Tara. \nEnlightened Mother Arya Tara\, manifestation of the swift\, wind element\, of all the Buddhas\, is greatly delighted with those who sincerely practice Kadam Lamrim\, the stages of the path to enlightenment. She promised Atisha\, the Founder of Kadam Lamrim\, to give her special care\, protection and blessings to his followers throughout their life\, and in life after life. \nGen-la Khyenrab will further explain how we can recognize all conventional appearances as the magical\, or illusory\, play of the mind and how we can stop grasping strongly at their apparent differences through recognizing everything as a manifestation of emptiness\, the actual nature of all things. \nReceive the blessing empowerment of Arya Green Tara and teachings with Gen-la Khyenrab. \nKnown as “the Mother of the Conquerors”\, Tara is a female Buddha\, who is a manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all the Buddhas. \nGen-la Kelsang Khyenrab\, the Retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and the Resident Teacher at KMC Canada\, will grant the empowerment and give the teachings at the Festival. Having trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly thirty-five years Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is an internationally renowned teacher and Buddhist monk who is greatly admired for his powerful teachings as well as his pure example of humility and loving-kindness.

SUMMARY:Richard Hoehler's "E."
DESCRIPTION:DVAA presents “E.”\nA live memoir written and performed by Richard Hoehler\nSaturday\, April 28 @ 8 pm\nTusten Theatre: 210 Bridge Street\, Narrowsburg\, NY\n$20 advance\, $25 at the door \nDelaware Valley Arts Alliance presents the award-winning playwright and actor Richard Hoehler in “E.\,” a new solo show in the style of Spalding Gray\, on Saturday\, April 28 at 8 pm at the Tusten Theatre\, 210 Bridge Street\, Narrowsburg\, NY. \nAn accolade to Hoehler’s longtime mentor and friend Edith (E.) Speziali\, the play explores their remarkable relationship with irreverent wit\, dark humor\, and a few choice cuss words. \nThe pair first met when twenty-seven-year-old Hoehler was a budding actor who had recently moved to the city\, and sixty-six-year-old Edith was already a classic New York character with a spiky personality and a foul mouth to match. \nThis performance is part of DVAA’s Spring Cultural Series. Tickets are $20 advance\, $25 at the door and may be purchased by calling 845-252-7272 or visiting https://www.delawarevalleyartsalliance.org.
